Welcome at Kerbholz Custom-Drums
My many years of experience in the semipro music and drummer scenes have urged me to stand by my drummer colleagues with all the help and advice I could muster. Being a carpenter by profession and an ambitious drummer by passion I guess all the components for founded knowledge about the matter are given. Over the years I have noticed that very few drummers bother to learn more about their instrument. Sure, it’s important to work on your chops and to better you technique but it is also equally important to know the boundaries of your instrument, to know what it can do and to know what it can not do! The sound of a drum depends upon many different factors, like wood type, tom strength, bearing–edge, drum heads and tuning. All too often you hear the remark “My set doesn’t sound any good, I need a new one” all too soon! After a little discussion, a set of new skins with the right tuning and if need be rebearing of the edges the problem is mostly solved! And when all that fails, that’s were KERBHOLZ Custom Service comes into it.
